I believe that education comes primarily from lived experience; the best way to learn how to make movies is to make movies. Drawing inspiration from my own memories of being creatively engaged and intellectually stimulated, I strive to maintain a dynamic learning environment that responds to the needs of each class collectively, as well as on an individual basis. Depending on what’s appropriate for a given course and the goals of each learner, as well as incorporating feedback from students, this could mean anything from going on outings, to practicing group mindfulness techniques, to igniting artistic flow with improv exercises.
